Job summary

Advocate Health in Illinois seeks a Clinical Exercise Physiologist for stress testing within the Cardiovascular Diagnostics department. The role is part time and requires conducting exercise stress tests with physician input and maintaining patient safety and confidentiality.

Responsibilities include patient education, protocol review, and adherence to department policies, with ongoing professional development and potential CPX testing as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology or Kinesiology; Master’s degree strongly desired.
• ACSM Clinical Exercise Physiologist certification within 12 months of hire; certification within 12 months is required.
• Current BLS/ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assure safe, appropriate stress testing and comply with department policies.
• Perform initial patient interviews to determine the appropriate stress test with physician input.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and promote safety during testing.
• Develop and update informational handouts for groups and individuals.
• Engage in professional development and CQI activities.
