Job summary

MaineHealth Cardiology in Lewiston and Portland is seeking a full-time clinical (non-invasive) cardiologist to join our Cardiovascular Service Line. This hospital-employed position offers a diverse mix of inpatient consults, imaging interpretation, and collaboration within a robust multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate is board-certified or eligible in Cardiovascular Disease, with a commitment to high-quality patient care, teaching responsibilities, and participation in value-based care

Responsibilities

• Inpatient consults and cardiology call coverage at Maine Medical Center.
• Interpretation of cardiac imaging performed at affiliated facilities.

• Collaborative, team-based care within the MaineHealth network.
• Teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.

MaineHealth Cardiology is seeking a full-time clinical (non-invasive) cardiologist to join our Cardiovascular Service Line, with a practice split between Lewiston and Portland. This is an opportunity to practice high-quality, clinical cardiology within an integrated, hospital-employed program, backed by state-of-the-art diagnostics, a robust primary care referral base, and a depth of subspecialty resources rarely found outside major metropolitan centers. You'll be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team committed to exceptional cardiovascular care across northern New England.

• Inpatient & Call: Consultative inpatient cardiology and call responsibilities at Maine Medical Center, our flagship academic tertiary-care hospital.
• Lewiston: Interpretation of cardiac imaging performed at St. Mary's Hospital, along with limited phone consultation services to referring providers and patients in the Lewiston community.
• Subspecialty access: Opportunity to engage with established programs, including but not limited to: Cardio-oncology, Women's heart health/Prevention, Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy center of excellence, Aorta center of excellence, Cardio-rheumatology
• Structure: Hospital-employed model with a strong, well-established referral network and integrated support across the MaineHealth system.

• Membership in the nationally recognized Cardiovascular Service Line at Maine Medical Center, the hub for the extended MaineHealth network, partnering with regional hospitals to coordinate cardiovascular care.

Academic and Professional Development

The annual base salary for this position is $620,000.
