TRIA is seeking a dedicated Clinical Athletic Trainer Navigator to join our orthopedic team. As a Partner for Good, you will help enhance the care and experience for our patients and their families.

Position Summary

The Athletic Trainer (AT) Navigator is a healthcare professional collaborating with physicians and other providers to promote health, wellness, activity, and participation across all ages. Responsibilities include injury prevention, wellness education, emergent care, diagnosis, therapeutic intervention, and rehabilitation, working under physicians' supervision as per MN Board of Medical Practice standards.

The AT Navigator will utilize skills in patient care, ancillary services, and administrative practices, ensuring excellent customer service and patient care. Responsibilities include coordinating care, interacting across departments, and facilitating services as directed by physicians and policies.

Key Duties

• Clinic appointment check-in, insurance verification, co-payment collection
• Patient history, evaluation, diagnosis, procedures, medication prep
• Post-operative care, wound management, splinting, DME fitting
• Triage, therapeutic interventions, education, documentation, and care coordination
• Participation in outreach activities and event coverage, including sports medicine outreach and marketing

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Current BOC Certified Athletic Trainer
• License with Minnesota & Wisconsin Boards of Medical Practice
• Valid NPI number

Skills & Abilities

• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills

• Basic computer skills, electronic medical records proficiency
• Knowledge of age-related care principles
• Ability to make autonomous decisions within scope of practice
