Job summary

Quinnipiac University invites applications for a full-time, 12-month Clinical Assistant Professor of Social Work to teach and advise in the MSW program on campus and online. Candidates should expect on-campus presence at least three days per week.

The role emphasizes teaching, student mentoring, and service, with a January 2027 start date. A CSWE-accredited MSW and LMSW/LCSW licensure are preferred, with opportunities to grow in leadership and online course development.

Qualifications

• Master of Social Work degree from a CSWE accredited institution.
• Minimum of two years post MSW social work practice.
• MSW online (asynchronous, synchronous) and in-person teaching experience.
• Social Work State Licensure (LMSW/LCSW).
• Willingness to develop and build MSW courses.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from varied backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses across the generalist and specialized MSW curriculum in online and/or on-campus formats, based on program needs.
• Advise and mentor MSW students, including monitoring academic progress, professional development, and competency attainment.
• Participate in department-required faculty activities, in addition to department, school, and university service.
• Participate in student recruitment and program events (e.g., welcome weekend, admitted students' weekends, and open houses).
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Department Chair and/or Associate Chair and/or Associate Director, Online MSW.
