Boston Childrens Hospital in Brookline, MA seeks a Clinical Assistant for its Outpatient Psychiatry Department to support clinicians during examinations and ensure smooth patient flow.

The role involves obtaining and recording routine information (temperature, BP, height/weight), scheduling and registering patients, facilitating clinic operations, stocking exam rooms, and reporting changes to the nurse. Typical shifts are Mondayriday daytime between 8am and 7pm.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year CA experience, CNA certification, or clinical rotations preferred.
• Pediatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assisting clinician during examinations; obtaining, measuring and recording routine information such as temperature and blood pressure, weights, heights and lengths.
• Scheduling, receiving and/or registering patients, visitors and staff for appointments or procedures.
• Facilitating patient flow through the clinic.
• Performing other related duties according to specific needs of clinic, including supply inventory, and stocking/organizing exam rooms.
• Identifying and reporting unusual findings or changes in patient condition to Registered Nurse.
• Collecting, verifying and recording required information, obtaining records, files and/or results for appointments and entering related information on appropriate computer systems.
• Answering, screening and routing telephone calls and performing general office support tasks.
• Working Monday – Friday day shifts, varying start and end times between 8am-7pm.
