Job summary

Boston Children's Hospital is seeking a Clinical Assistant to support the Outpatient Psychiatry Department. The role involves assisting clinicians during exams, taking vital signs, and managing patient flow for daily appointments.

Responsibilities include scheduling, patient intake, and general office support. Candidates should have HS diploma, CNA certification, or clinical rotation experience, with pediatric exposure preferred. Monday–Friday day shifts with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year CA experience, CNA Certification, or one round of clinical rotations preferred.
• Pediatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist clinician during examinations; obtain, measure and record routine information (temperature, blood pressure, weights, heights).
• Schedule, register patients, visitors and staff for appointments or procedures.
• Facilitate patient flow through the clinic.
• Perform related duties including supply inventory and stocking/exam room organization.
• Identify and report unusual findings to the Registered Nurse.
• Collect and enter patient information into computer systems and obtain records.
