Salary:

• LPN: $21.65 - $31.96 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
• CMA: $20.40 - $29.61 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Summary

Provide and prioritize patient care in the clinic setting under the direction of the RN and/or Medical Providers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Gather patient data, administer medications, take vital signs, and assist Providers with Patient Care.
2. Prepare for patient visits using automated medical records.
3. Maintain infection control, fire and safety practices, and participate in performance improvement.
4. Complete Medical Providers' orders.
5. Receive and document patient pre/post visit information.
6. Clean, organize, and restock exam rooms.
7. Consider age-related factors in care, treatment, education, and evaluation for patients of all ages, from neonates to geriatrics.
8. Implement quality assurance standards to ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards.

If Assigned Scribe Duties

1. Document provider work as a scribe based on observation and provider directives.
2. Enter and release orders in the electronic medical record following provider communication.
3. Read back orders to the provider for verification.
4. Access Excellian with your own login to enter information.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing program or CMA certification. EMR experience required.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Current LPN license in Minnesota and BLS certification, or CMA certification.

Physical Demands

Regularly required to stand, walk, handle, reach, talk, and hear. Occasionally sit, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 200 pounds. Specific vision abilities required.
