Gibson Area Hospital & Health Services in Gibson City, IL is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant for a full-time role in Pulmonology. You will assist clinical staff, perform chart prep, take vital signs, and support patient flow in a busy clinic.

Responsibilities include scheduling referrals, assisting with tests, maintaining exam rooms, and ensuring patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Must be certified for medical equipment testing and oriented by RN/LPN.
• Current BLS certification or will achieve within six months of hire.
• Working knowledge of computer applications.
• If a CNA or CMA, maintains current licensure and meets CMS/IDPH requirements.
• Familiar with CPT and ICD codes, through education or experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and the insurance industry.
• Knowledge of grammar, spelling and punctuation for typing correspondence.

Responsabilités

• Performs chart prep for all providers.
• Greets patients and escorts to exam rooms; records vital signs and height/weight.
• Documents social/family/medical history and current complaints.
• Answers calls and forwards information to clinicians; does not give medical advice.
• Schedules referrals, tests, and clinic appointments.
• Maintains and restocks exam rooms with supplies.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and follows infection control practices.
