Gibson Area Hospital in Mahomet, IL is seeking a dedicated health unit assistant to support patient care and ensure efficient flow of visits. You will assist physicians and nurses, prepare patients for exams, and maintain clean, well-stocked exam rooms.

This role requires a high school diploma, compassionate communication, and the ability to learn EMR systems; CPR certification is preferred. The position is full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with standard infection control protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; healthcare experience preferred.
• Capacity to learn and retain patient care procedures.
• Demonstrates compassion and caring in dealing with others.
• Adheres to Gibson Area Hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintains CPR certification and participates in mandatory in-services.

Responsabilités

• Provide patient care and assist physicians and nurses.
• Assess physicians’ schedules and organize work to ensure timely patient flow.
• Call and accompany patient to exam/procedure room; collect visit information.
• Record vital signs, height, weight, and other screenings.
• Assist in procedures and provide direct patient support as needed.
