Responsibilities

• Greets patients appropriately and escorts to exam rooms; records vital signs, height and weight.
• Obtain and record patient history and current complaint(s).
• Maintain/review patient medical history in EMR and enter verified information.
• Prepare and maintain examination and treatment areas; assist with routine examinations.
• Assist with procedures, minor surgeries, and specimen collection as competency allows.
• Perform venipuncture, CLIA waived tests, ECGs, respiratory testing, and other tests as ordered.
• Document CLIA waived tests in logs and obtain prior authorizations as needed.
• Follow Infection Control practices and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
