Job summary

Qualifications

Clinical Assistant – OrthoAtlanta, Johns Creek, GA

The DME Coordinator assists providers during clinic in the assigned location and performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care activities. Responsible for dispensing all durable medical equipment and fitting and instructing patients on soft goods, bracing, electrotherapy, bone growth stimulation, traction, and other DME products dispensed by the clinics.

Administrative tasks include maintaining inventory, completing pre-authorization for insurance, and completing appropriate documentation for billing.

Patient Population Served: Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of Orthopedic technology, Athletic Trainers or Certified Ortho Tech program or equivalent experience
• Four to seven years’ experience in a hospital, clinic or medial office working directly with orthopedic patients
• Experience dispensing, fitting, and billing for DME
• Knowledge of electronic medical records system
• Ability to keep a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Must be able to work independently
• Must be detailed oriented
• Strong organizational and time management skills
