Job summary

OrthoAtlanta, LLC is seeking a full-time, on-site Medical Office Support professional in Georgia. You will escort patients, manage registrations, and coordinate care for surgical procedures within a busy orthopedic clinic.

The role involves EMR intake, scheduling, patient communication, and DME support, offering hands-on orthopedic experience and a supportive growth-focused team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a CNA, CMA, or Ortho Tech program (or equivalent).
• 1+ year of medical office experience preferred.
• Experience with electronic medical records systems (Epic preferred).
• Excellent verbal and written communication, strong organization, multitasking.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure comfort and privacy.
• Review patient registration details and complete EMR intake.
• Prepare surgical orders, schedule tests, obtain results and clearances.
• Manage patient callbacks, prescriptions, and referrals; respond to queues.
• Demonstrate proper DME fitting and usage when needed.

What You'll Do

• Guiding Patients : Escort patients to exam rooms, assist with dressing/undressing, and ensure comfort and privacy
• Gathering Information : Accurately review patient registration details, collect necessary forms, and complete EMR intake documentation
• Coordinating Care : Prepare surgical orders, schedule lab tests and diagnostic procedures, obtain test results, and manage medical clearances for surgeries
• Communication and Follow-Up : Manage patient callbacks regarding messages, prescriptions, and referrals; monitor and respond to physician queues
• DME Support : Demonstrate proper fitting and usage of durable medical equipment (DME) like braces and soft goods when needed
• Are highly organized and detailed, ensuring every patient interaction is smooth and thorough
• Stay calm and efficient in a busy, high-energy clinic setting
• Communicate with professionalism, empathy, and clarity

What You’ll Need

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, or Certified Ortho Tech program (or equivalent experience)
• 1+ year of medical office experience preferred
• Experience with electronic medical records systems (Epic preferred)
