Job description

Clinical Application Specialist – AKA Wingmate

Join to apply for the Clinical Application Specialist – AKA Wingmate role at Mach7 Technologies.

Location: Remote – open to candidates in the United States and Canada

About the Mission

At Mach7, we’re transforming how healthcare systems manage imaging data. Success requires great tech and thoughtful, detail-loving, people-connecting humans. That’s where you come in.

Your Role

You’ll work closely with Code Pilots, Tech Vipers, and ACES to support customers during onboarding, upgrades, and beyond. Though you won’t be writing code or tuning databases, your superpower is coordination—ensuring communication flows, milestones are hit, and the right people are in the loop.

What You’ll Do
  • Serve as a primary contact for assigned applications or customers during implementation and optimization
  • Gather input from clinical and operational stakeholders to understand requirements and workflows through structured and unstructured training sessions.
  • Translate customer needs into functional specs and project tasks, working closely with technical teammates while building shared knowledge
  • Coordinate internal communication across crews, ensuring no ball gets dropped and insights are shared
  • Participate in training, testing, validation, and go‑live support
  • Document configurations, workflows, and procedures for knowledge sharing
  • Create training materials and help facilitate end‑user training sessions and knowledge transfer
  • Triage and track issues, escalating to technical teammates when needed
  • Stay connected to industry best practices and emerging healthcare IT trends
  • Bring calm, clarity, and positivity, especially when encountering turbulence
  • Go “wheels up” up to two weeks every month while visiting customers
About You

You are incredibly organized, detail-oriented, and love helping people succeed. You thrive in the space between customers and technical teams, translating, supporting, and guiding. You’re a clear communicator who keeps things moving without micromanaging.

Bonus Points If You Have
  • Experience in healthcare environments and understanding of clinical or operational workflows
  • Collaborative, unflappable, and proactive attitude, spotting problems before they happen
  • Experience with PACS, VNA, or enterprise imaging systems
  • Familiarity with HL7, DICOM, or other healthcare data standards
  • Project coordination or project management experience
  • Exposure to regulatory requirements like HIPAA
  • Mach7 Enterprise Imaging Platform experience
Your Flight Path

Wingmates often grow into Air boss or ACE roles that shape how we support customers across their entire imaging journey. This role gives you a front‑row seat to the action and a launchpad for long‑term impact and growth.

Why Fly with Us
  • A people‑first culture where your voice matters
  • A mission‑driven team making real impact in healthcare
  • Work in a flexible environment from home remotely alongside your crew
  • A crew that’s supportive, collaborative, and just the right amount of fun
