Job Description

Visionix USA, a leader in vision care innovation, is seeking a remote Clinical Application Specialist. This role interacts with internal and external customers, including physicians, practice personnel, and sales/support staff. The specialist is an experienced ophthalmic technician and educator who travels frequently, representing the company professionally.

Visionix USA provides automated eye examination and optical technologies, including Optovue, Briot, Weco, and Visionix brands. Part of the global Visionix Technology Group, we pioneer wavefront technology, helping eye care professionals improve workflow efficiency and patient experience while maintaining clinical standards.

Responsibilities
  • Assist customers with proper use of Visionix and Optovue products to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Perform installation and training of various product lines, including Visionix Diagnostic Products, Optovue, Nexy, and WAM-5500, following manufacturer guidelines.
  • Provide high-level customer service and support during installations and training sessions.
  • Coordinate travel to installation sites, adhering to company policies.
  • Train staff and doctors on device usage, understand and transfer data, and network machines with IT support.
  • Maintain a clean installation environment and complete training documentation promptly.
  • Troubleshoot machine issues and support sales with technical expertise.
  • Report adverse events and device deficiencies; assist with service and trade shows as needed.
  • Work directly with customers on clinical questions, develop training materials, and suggest improvements.
  • Support ongoing customer communication via the Clinical Applications system.
Minimum Requirements
  • A.S. Degree or equivalent clinical experience.
  • At least 5+ years in clinical ophthalmic/optometry technical roles.
  • 2+ years as an ophthalmic Clinical Applications Specialist.
  • JCAHPO - COA certification or higher.
  • Advanced knowledge of eye physiology, OCT, and refractive technologies.
  • Ability to train diverse groups and present effectively.
  • Extensive travel capability, including weekends.
  • Physical ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Proficiency in Windows OS, problem-solving skills, and valid US driver’s license.
  • Fluency in English, with strong report-writing skills.
Special Demands & Travel

The candidate must meet physical requirements, work in office/remote environments, and be able to travel nationwide (air and ground). Physical activities include standing, sitting, reaching, and lifting parcels.
