Job summary

The University of Miami Miller School of Medicine’s Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative Medicine, and Pain Management seeks an Assistant Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology to join its growing CT division. This on-site, full-time faculty role focuses on teaching, supervising residents, and delivering high-level cardiothoracic anesthesia at UM Hospital and Jackson Memorial Health System.

Candidates must have completed a US residency in Anesthesiology with a CT fellowship, TEE

Qualifications

• US residency completed in Anesthesiology.
• One year of Cardiothoracic fellowship training.
• TEE board certification or Testamur status is required.
• Board Eligibility or Certification in Anesthesiology is required.
• Research experience is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise residents, fellows, CRNAs, and SRNAs.
• Perform a wide variety of cardiothoracic cases and general anesthesia cases.
• Participate in academic activities, teaching, and departmental conferences.
