Job summary

Elsevier seeks a Clinical Analytics Specialist to support CDS product development and improve search and discovery for point-of-care solutions such as ClinicalKey. You will collaborate with Clinical Solutions and Education to drive growth and innovation across global teams.

The ideal candidate is an MD with experience in informatics, evidence-based medicine, and data-driven workflows, capable of working with stakeholders at mid and senior management levels.

Qualifications

• Clinical degree required (MD, MBBS, GP). Preference for evidence-based medicine experience.
• Experience with semantic technologies and ontology management a plus.
• Strong English; other languages a plus.
• Familiarity with medical vocabularies SNOMED CT/ICD-10 helpful.
• Proficiency with Windows; MS Word/PowerPoint; template-based CMS.

Responsibilities

• Apply clinical knowledge to extract and integrate data in healthcare contexts.
• Adapt domain ontologies for information extraction, data modeling, and analysis.
• Collaborate with data scientists, clinicians, SMEs, taxonomists, and analysts to inform automation and health market applications.
• Model, validate, and maintain core extracted clinical relationships for the healthcare knowledge graph (H-graph).
• Ensure high-quality automated indexing for search and discovery.
• Develop training data for ML models used in Point-of-care products.
• Generate predictive analytics from large healthcare datasets.
• Contribute to design and analytics for algorithm codification improving workflows.
