Job summary

Elsevier seeks a licensed MD to join the Data Discovery and Enrichment Team as Clinical Analytics Specialist, supporting CDS product development to improve search and discovery for ClinicalKey at the point-of-care.

You will work with Clinical Solutions and Education to provide analytics support, drive growth and innovation, and help build Elsevier’s healthcare knowledge graph with input from SMEs and data analysts.

Qualifications

• Clinical degree required (MD, MBBS, GP)
• Experience with evidence-based medicine, clinical research or epidemiology is a plus
• Proficiency with medical vocabularies like SNOMED CT and ICD-10
• Strong MS Word/PowerPoint skills and familiarity with EDM/templating
• Experience with Tableau for visualization is beneficial

Responsibilities

• Apply clinical knowledge to extract and integrate data in a healthcare environment.
• Adapt domain ontologies for information extraction, data modeling and analysis.
• Collaborate with data scientists and clinicians to provide insights for automation and health market applications.
• Model, validate, and maintain core extracted clinical relationships for the healthcare knowledge graph (H-graph).
• Ensure high quality automated indexing for search and discovery.
• Validate content accuracy with external clinical experts using best available evidence.
