Job summary

Elsevier seeks an MD to join the Data Discovery and Enrichment Team as a Clinical Analytics Specialist, supporting CDS product development and enhancing search and discovery for ClinicalKey at the point-of-care.

You will collaborate with Clinical Solutions and Education, provide analytics, validate content, and help build training data for ML models, contributing to the healthcare knowledge graph and high-quality indexing for search.

Qualifications

• Clinical degree required with experience in evidence-based medicine and clinical research.
• Familiarity with SNOMED CT/ICD-10 and ontology modeling is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with multi-project prioritization.
• Proficiency with MS Word/PowerPoint and clinical content management.
• Excellent English; additional language skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Apply clinical knowledge to extract and integrate data in healthcare settings.
• Adapt domain ontologies for information extraction and analysis.
• Collaborate with data scientists, clinicians, SMEs, taxonomists, and analysts to derive insights.
• Model, validate, and maintain core clinical relationships for Elsevier's healthcare knowledge graph.
• Ensure high-quality automated indexing for search and discovery.
• Validate clinical content accuracy with external experts and literature guidelines.
• Create training data for ML models used in Point-of-care products.
• Generate predictive analytics from large healthcare datasets.
• Contribute to design, prototyping, and analytics to improve clinical workflows.
