Job summary

IU Health's Gastroenterology Center is seeking a Clinical Ambulatory Manager to lead daily operations for the GI ambulatory services. This onsite role is a Monday-Friday day shift with clinical leadership responsibilities and inter-professional team supervision.

You will translate strategic priorities into practice, ensure quality and safety, patient and staff experience, and advance nursing practice with evidence-based standards.

Qualifications

• Requires a BSN; MSN preferred.
• Active RN license in Indiana or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; advanced life support certifications may be required.
• Master's degree in Nursing or related field preferred.

• Lead and develop ambulatory GI nursing and support teams.
• Translate strategic priorities into unit-level operations and planning.
• Ensure quality and safety improvements, patient experiences, and staff development.

Clinical Ambulatory Manager- Gastroenterology Center

Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody these values to join our Gastroenterology Center leadership team in the role of Clinical Ambulatory Manager.

The clinical manager combines clinical experience and contemporary leadership practices with the IU Health Way to achieve excellent outcomes. Accountable for translating and achieving our strategic priorities and outcomes: quality and safety improvements, care affordability, great patient experiences, and great team member experiences. Accountable for providing strategic vision and operational planning for assigned unit. Incumbents will lead an inter-professional team to create an environment where the team is empowered to achieve excellence in patient and organizational outcomes. This role is accountable for advancing nursing practice by advocating and consistently embedding evidenced-base practices and professional nursing standards.

This is a fully onsite role Monday-Friday day shift. Candidates do not need previous GI experience but should have previous leadership experience.

Candidate Qualifications

Candidates for the position will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.

• Requires a Bachelor of Nursing (BSN).
• If bachelor degree not in nursing, must have Master of Nursing (MSN).
• Master's degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
• Specialty certification related to nursing practice or leadership is preferred.
• Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Required Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
