IU Health is seeking a Clinical Ambulatory Manager—Hematology Oncology to lead nursing practice and drive quality, safety and patient experience across ambulatory settings. This onsite leadership role requires strong clinical background, strategic planning, and the ability to manage a multi-location team with travel to Indianapolis-area sites.

The position emphasizes collaboration with SPA Leadership, Pharmacy, Lab, and Radiation Oncology, and reports to the Cancer Services Director.

Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor of Nursing (BSN).
  • If bachelor degree not in nursing, must have MSN.
  • Master’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
  • Requires an active RN license in Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Required Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic vision and operational planning for the assigned unit.
  • Lead an inter-professional team to achieve excellence in patient and organizational outcomes.
  • Advance nursing practice by embedding evidenced-base practices and professional nursing standards.
  • This onsite role supports 4 CICC offices with travel to Methodist and East locations as needed.

Clinical Ambulatory Manager- Hematology Oncology

Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody these values to join our Hematology Oncology leadership team in the role of Clinical Ambulatory Manager.

The clinical manager combines clinical experience and contemporary leadership practices with the IU Health Way to achieve excellent outcomes. Accountable for translating and achieving our strategic priorities and outcomes: quality and safety improvements, care affordability, great patient experiences, and great team member experiences. Accountable for providing strategic vision and operational planning for assigned unit. Incumbents will lead an inter-professional team to create an environment where the team is empowered to achieve excellence in patient and organizational outcomes. This role is accountable for advancing nursing practice by advocating and consistently embedding evidenced-base practices and professional nursing standards.

This is a fully onsite role Monday-Friday day shift supporting 4 CICC offices with a home base in Fishers. Travel to other Indianapolis locations at Methodist and East will be required. Previous leadership experience is strongly preferred.

Candidate Qualifications

Candidates for the position will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.

  • Requires a Bachelor of Nursing (BSN).
  • If bachelor degree not in nursing, must have Master of Nursing (MSN).
  • Master’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
  • Specialty certification related to nursing practice or leadership is preferred.
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Required Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
