Job summary

Thomas Jefferson University’s College of Nursing seeks an Clinical Adjunct Faculty for Graduate Programs to support course and clinical teaching. You will participate in orientation, conduct site visits, and provide ongoing feedback to students while coordinating with clinical preceptors and faculty.

The role involves regular engagement with the Senior Associate Dean and course faculty, ensuring timely evaluations and remediation when necessary.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching in graduate nursing programs.
• Ability to provide timely feedback and evaluation of students.
• Strong communication with faculty, preceptors and students.

Responsibilities

• Attend orientation and fulfill course and clinical teaching responsibilities.
• Attend periodic clinical faculty meetings.
• Perform clinical site visits as assigned, with initial visits before mid-semester.
• Interface with clinical preceptor as JCN’s representative to foster communication between preceptor and Jefferson College of Nursing.
• Provide narrative summaries of site visits to course faculty and Senior Associate Dean highlighting student progress and preceptor impressions.
• Provide weekly evaluative feedback on clinical logs.
• Notify faculty about students not meeting expected clinical performance.
• Develop remediation plans for students at risk of failure in collaboration with faculty.
• Notify Senior Associate Dean and course faculty of problems with preceptor or site.
• Maintain ongoing communications with Senior Associate Dean and course faculty.
• Facilitate completion of student evaluations by clinical preceptors.
