Job summary

Live Well Behavioral Health is seeking a Clinical Supervisor/ Therapist to lead PHP/IOP operations while maintaining a small client caseload and delivering individual and group therapy. This hybrid role blends clinical excellence with operational leadership to shape program culture and outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in a related field with an active Louisiana license and 2+ years in behavioral health, plus supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or related field.
• Active clinical license in Louisiana (LPC, LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, LCDC or equivalent).
• Minimum 2+ years in substance abuse/behavioral health treatment.
• Prior supervisory or program management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions for PHP/IOP clients.
• Conduct assessments, treatment planning, and discharge planning.
• Provide crisis intervention and risk assessment as needed.
• Maintain clinical documentation in compliance with state and payer requirements.
• Oversee daily clinic operations, scheduling, and program flow.
• Supervise clinical staff, case managers, and support personnel.
• Ensure licensing, accreditation and HIPAA compliance.
• Monitor KPIs and report to leadership.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and training of new staff.
• Liaise with referral sources, insurers, and community partners.
• Troubleshoot utilization review and authorization issues.

About Us

Live Well Behavioral Health is a brand-new outpatient behavioral clinic that provides Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) services for individuals with substance use disorders and mental health diagnoses. We're a close-knit, mission-driven team dedicated to evidence-based, compassionate care — and we're looking for a leader who can wear two hats: clinical excellence and operational leadership.

The Role

We're seeking an experienced Clinical Supervisor / Therapist to oversee day-to-day operations of our PHP/IOP program while also carrying a small client caseload and facilitating group and individual therapy. This is a hybrid leadership + clinical role, ideal for someone who wants to shape a program's culture and outcomes, not just clock in and run groups.

What You'll Do

Clinical Responsibilities

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions for PHP/IOP clients
• Conduct clinical assessments, treatment planning, and discharge planning
• Provide crisis intervention and risk assessment as needed
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in compliance with state and payer requirements

Management Responsibilities

• Oversee daily clinic operations, scheduling, and program flow
• Supervise and support clinical staff, case managers, and support personnel
• Ensure compliance with state licensing, accreditation (e.g., CARF/Joint Commission), and HIPAA standards
• Monitor program KPIs (census, retention, outcomes) and report to leadership
• Support hiring, onboarding, and training of new clinical staff
• Liaise with referral sources, insurance providers, and community partners
• Help troubleshoot utilization review and authorization issues

What We're Looking For

• Master’s degree in counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field (required)
• Active clinical license (LPC, LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, LCDC, or equivalent) in Louisiana
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in substance abuse/behavioral health treatment
• Prior supervisory or program management experience strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of PHP/IOP levels of care, ASAM criteria, and insurance/UR processes
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
