Job summary

The Sanctuary at the Woodlands in Alabama is seeking an experienced, licensed behavioral health professional to lead and grow our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). This role demands strong clinical and operational leadership to develop staff, strengthen operations, grow census, and build community partnerships for outpatient services.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related behavioral health discipline.
• Active Alabama behavioral health license such as LICSW/LCSW, LPC, or LMFT.
• Minimum 3 years of behavioral health experience.
• IOP/PHP or outpatient behavioral health leadership experience strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of clinical operations, regulatory compliance, documentation, quality improvement, and interdisciplinary care.
• Ability to use data to identify opportunities, develop action plans, lead teams, and grow programs.

Responsibilities

• Overall clinical and operational leadership of IOP/PHP services.
• Outpatient census growth, referrals, admissions, and conversion performance.
• Clinical programming, patient engagement, and continuity of care.
• Development of stronger inpatient-to-outpatient step-down pathways.
• Regulatory compliance, documentation quality, and survey readiness.
• Recruitment, development, accountability, and engagement of outpatient staff.
• Referral-source and community relationships in partnership with Marketing/Business Development.
• Program performance, staffing efficiency, resource utilization, and long-term sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

• Current, active, unrestricted Alabama behavioral health license such as LICSW/LCSW, LPC, or LMFT
• Minimum 3 years of behavioral health experience
• Demonstrated supervisory, program leadership, or operational management experience
• IOP/PHP or outpatient behavioral health leadership experience strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of clinical operations, regulatory compliance, documentation, quality improvement, and interdisciplinary care
• Ability to use data to identify opportunities, develop action plans, lead teams, and grow programs
