Zusammenfassung

Vail Health Hospital seeks a Clinic Scheduler to manage appointment scheduling and patient communications. You will answer calls, coordinate with providers and payers, and schedule tests and procedures using the EHR system.

Experience in medical office administration and knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA rules are preferred. This role may have remote or outside-state possibilities; on-site work in a hospital setting is common.

• 2 years administration or similar experience preferred.
• Previous medical office experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA compliance and OSHA rules and regulations preferred.

The Clinic Scheduler is responsible for answering incoming phone calls, fielding questions about scheduling with providers, directing calls to appropriate parties, taking and distributing messages, and scheduling appointments.

Schedules medical appointments through coordination of patients, providers, locations, payers, etc.

Appropriately schedules appointments, tests and/or procedures, leveraging the electronic health record (EHR) scheduling software.

Obtains patient demographics with accuracy to include but not limited to patient address information, telephone number and insurance information from the patient.

Distributes faxes helps manage needed requests.

2 years administration or similar experience preferred.

Previous medical office experience preferred.

Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA compliance and OSHA rules and regulations preferred.
