Job summary

Ashley Regional is seeking a Registered Nurse to support patient care in a hospital/clinic setting. You will assess needs, develop and implement care plans, collaborate with physicians, and document care while educating patients and families.

Requirements include an RN license, Associate's degree (Bachelor's preferred), and certifications (BCLS, ACLS, PALS within six months). The role includes standard nursing responsibilities and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing is required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Experience: 1 year or less.
• Licenses: Current RN license in state of practice.
• Certifications: BCLS on orientation; ACLS and PALS within six months.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the patient's condition and nursing care needs.
• Sets goals and prescribes appropriate nursing interventions to meet physical, psychological, social and rehabilitative needs of patients.
• Develops individual nursing care plans.
• Implements care plans and revises as needed.
• Evaluates patient care outcomes.
• Collaborates with physicians and other hospital employees.
• Administers medications, treatments and therapies.
• Communicates with patients and oversees provision of care.
• Provides patients and/or family with instruction and education relevant to condition.
• Accurately documents nursing observations, assessments, medications, treatments, and other care given.
• Maintains facility equipment, supplies and work areas.
• Assists in the orientation of new employees.
• Coordinates and supervises activities of employees and department operations.
• Participates in performance/process improvement activities.
