Job summary

A Registered Nurse position at Ashley Regional Medical Center (part of Lifepoint Health) coordinates total nursing care for patients and participates in family teaching. You will act as a patient advocate and work as part of a hospital team to ensure high-quality care.

Responsibilities include assessing needs, creating care plans, administering medications, and documenting care. Requires RN license in Utah, ADN at minimum, with BSN preferred; BCLS required, ACLS/PALS within six months.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• 1 year or less experience.
• Current RN license in state of practice. Authorized to practice nursing in Utah.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the patient’s condition and nursing care needs.
• Sets goals and prescribes appropriate nursing interventions to meet physical, psychological, social and rehabilitative needs of patients.
• Develops individual nursing care plans.
• Implements care plans and makes revisions as needed.
• Evaluates patient care outcomes.
• Collaborates with physicians and other hospital employees.
• Administers medications, treatments and therapies.
• Communicates with patients and oversees provision of care.
• Provides patients and/or family with instruction and education relevant to condition.
• Accurately documents nursing observations, assessments, medications, treatments, and other care given.
• Maintains facility equipment, supplies and work areas.
• Assists in the orientation of new employees.
• Coordinates and supervises activities of employees and department operations.
• Participates in performance/process improvement activities.
