03107 RN-ClinicFLSA: Non-exemptThis position coordinates total nursing care for patients, participates in patient and family teaching, acts as a patient advocate and works as part of a team with ancillary and non-nursing departments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Assesses the patient's condition and nursing care needs.
  • Sets goals and prescribes appropriate nursing interventions to meet physical, psychological, social and rehabilitative needs of patients.
  • Develops individual nursing care plans.
  • Implements care plans and makes revisions as needed.
  • Evaluates patient care outcomes.
  • Collaborates with physicians and other hospital employees.
  • Administers medications, treatments and therapies.
  • Communicates with patients and oversees provision of care.
  • Provides patients and/or family with instruction and education relevant to condition.
  • Accurately documents nursing observations, assessments, medications, treatments, and other care given.
Additional Information
  • Maintains facility equipment, supplies and work areas.
  • Assists in the orientation of new employees.
  • Coordinates and supervises activities of employees and department operations.
  • Participates in performance/process improvement activities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Experience: 1 year or less
  • Certifications: BCLS upon completion of hospital orientation; ACLS and PALS within six months of hire or transfer date to position.
  • Licenses: Current RN license in state of practice
  • Skills and Abilities: Ability to understand, communicate, and react effectively to patient and family needs.
