Job summary

Advocate Health’s outpatient clinic retail pharmacy seeks a part-time, PRN pharmacist to support 10 hours per week or less. This role covers first shift with operating hours 8 AM to 6 PM, at the Floyd Medical Center location in Georgia.

The pharmacist provides safe and effective pharmaceutical care, counsel patients, reviews orders, and collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure formulary adherence and quality improvement, under the region's career ladder.

Qualifications

• Licensed in the state(s) of practice or eligible for reciprocity.
• Immunization and non-vaccine injectable certification may be required by practice area.
• Credentialing and privileging as per area of practice.

Responsibilities

• Oversees pharmaceutical care, including literature retrieval and regimen design.
• Counsels patients and caregivers on medication therapy, safety, and administration.
• Designs and monitors patient-specific pharmacotherapeutic regimens based on literature.
• Reviews medication orders and prescriptions for accuracy.
• Participates in medical emergency management when applicable.
• Supports medication safety and quality improvement activities.
