CHI Health has an immediate opportunity for a Clinic Receptionist.

Our Receptionists are part of our healthcare team, responsible for performing a variety of general administrative support duties associated with patient intake and routine clinic operations.

The Clinic Receptionist reports to the clinic manager/administrator and performs business office and reception duties accurately and with minimal supervision. These duties include answering and routing phone calls, scheduling appointments, greeting and registering patients, collecting and verifying patient information, and providing administrative support.

  • Check-in patients and complete necessary paperwork to ensure efficient admitting and compliance with policies.
  • Answer and direct phone calls appropriately.
  • Schedule patient appointments per office guidelines.
  • Obtain accurate patient and insurance information, including collecting copays and deductibles.
  • Copy/scan patient documents into electronic medical records.
  • Prepare charts for appointments, ensuring all information is complete.
  • Handle patient check-out, including collecting payments and scheduling follow-ups.
  • Manage record filing and retrieval, and assist with registration documentation in electronic records.
  • Confirm next-day appointments and inform patients of required documentation and payment details.
  • Follow up on no-shows and send communications accordingly.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail flow.
  • Support office supply ordering and inventory management.
  • Notify clinical staff of patient arrivals and inform patients of delays.
  • Perform cash drawer reconciliation.
