Job summary

Northern Waters Casino Resort is seeking a Front Desk Cashier to perform cashiering functions at the Hotel Front Desk and respond to inquiries from the public with a positive, can-do attitude.

The role requires strong math skills, the ability to handle currency accurately, and a willingness to work varied shifts at a busy casino resort. This full-time position offers non-exempt pay and benefits after eligibility.

Qualifications

• Strong mathematical aptitude required.
• Sedentary work with standing required.
• Occasionally lifting up to 5 pounds.
• Must be able to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Must pass background checks and pre-employment screenings for Gaming License.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent guest service to guests, internal and external, through active guest engagement and positive attitude.
• Read, implement, and adhere to all NWCR Policies and Procedures, gaming standards, and internal control standards.
• Responsible for exchange and reconciliation of currency, coins, and vouchers and accurate handling of all monies.
• Register guests and reconcile guest accounts; make and modify reservations.
• Remain compliant with casino regulatory policies and attend required training.

DESCRIPTION:

The Cashierwill perform a variety of cashiering functions at the Hotel Front Desk. Willrespond positively to questions and inquiries from the public.

Primary Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provideexcellent guest service to guests, internal and external, through active guestengagement and positive attitude.


• Shall be required toread, implement, and adhere to all NWCR Policies and Procedures, LVD GamingOrdinance, Tribal/State Gaming Compact, NIGC Minimum Internal ControlStandards, Indian Gaming Regulatory Act, LVD Tribal Internal Control Standards,Title 31 Minimum Internal Control Standards, NWCR Casino Employee Handbook,Hotel Department Policy and Procedure Manual.


• Responsiblefor exchange and reconciliation of currency, coin, andcoupons/certificates.


• Responsiblefor accurate handling of all monies in their charge.


• Registeringguests and reconciling guests’ accounts.


• Makingand modifying reservations.


• Willbe required to work in any area assigned.


• Toremain in compliance with Casino Regulatory policies and procedures, employeesare required to attend all necessary meetings and training facilitated byManagement.


• Dueto changes and modifications in jobs from time to time, employees are requiredto be flexible and assume other responsibilities assigned by management.
