Job summary

UF Health in Ocala, FL is seeking an onsite Clinic Operations and Financial Specialist to oversee daily clinic operations and financial processes. You will supervise staff, resolve patient relations issues, and ensure compliance with UFHP directives while coordinating with physicians.

The role requires strong communication, knowledge of medical reimbursement, and familiarity with EPIC EHR, CPT, and ICD-10 coding. A supervisory background is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with staff recruitment and hiring, staff evaluations, and disciplinary action.
• Excellent communication skills required, including patient relations, conflict resolution, and dissemination of information, physician interaction, and management forums.
• A demonstrated knowledge of medical reimbursement guidelines, continuous quality improvement guidelines, and quality customer service methodologies is required.
• Excellent organizational and problem solving skills required.
• Knowledge of managed care and payor reimbursement practices is required.
• The ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, problem solve, and function in a team environment are necessary attributes of the successful incumbent.
• Knowledge of EPIC EHR and of CPT and ICD10 coding highly preferred.
• One year of supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily clinic operations and financial processes; ensures front-line staff execute daily business office functions and clinical staff operations.
• Supervises assigned staff and maintains compliance with UFHP and practice directives.
• Resolves complaints and patient relations issues; communicates with physicians daily.
• Reviews clinic financial and operational processes with staff and initiates changes as needed.
• Performs additional daily operational duties such as opening/closing the clinic, maintenance, security, and managing vendor/contractor relationships.
