Qualifications

• High school diploma or certificate.
• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current venipuncture certification.
• Knowledge of computers.
• Working knowledge of Appointment Scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients courteously and handle multi-line calls with proper telephone etiquette.
• Schedule appointments according to physician guidelines and update patient information in the EHR (NextGen).
• Process referrals and assist with back‑up reception duties as needed.
• Maintain infection control practices and sterile technique.
• Perform clinical duties such as vital signs, specimen collection, wound care, ECG, TB testing, vision checks, and basic waived tests.
• Ensure correct documentation and patient data entry in CAIR/EHR systems.
