CALIBRE is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical operations on-site in Hopkinsville, KY. The role involves rooming patients, recording histories and vital signs, and ensuring accurate documentation in the patient record.

You will prepare exam rooms, coordinate diagnostic and laboratory services, and assist providers during examinations and procedures, while handling calls and administrative duties as directed.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED equivalent.
• Graduate of a medical assistant program, certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Places patients in the examination room and records history and vital signs.
• Completes disability status sheets and forwards to appropriate places.
• Writes school/work excuses and provider orders for signature.
• Pre-visit setup: ensures exam room equipment is clean and supplies are adequate.
• Cleans and restocks exam rooms and reviews patient records and test results.
• Accompanies the provider during patient visits when appropriate.
• Screens calls for the provider and handles clinical messages as needed.
• Responds to patient medical questions within scope of practice.
• Handles prescription-related communication with the pharmacist as directed.
• Coordinates outpatient diagnostic and laboratory services and completes paperwork.
• Assists provider with examinations, procedures, and patient prep.
• Documents procedures and supplies used for superbill and EHR.
• Arranges home health care as directed by provider.
• Manages referrals and relays patient information to other providers.
• Maintains clinical equipment and reports maintenance needs to the Practice Manager.
• Reviews supplies and initiates ordering process.
• Handles patient mail and insurance forms for review and signature.

Formation
