Salma Health is seeking a Front Desk Medical Assistant / Site Lead for the Fremont clinic to deliver patient-facing service and oversee clinic operations. This role blends front desk duties, MA tasks, and site-level coordination in a full-time, on-site capacity.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, with MA certification and 5+ years in a medical office, including 1+ year in management. Proficiency with EHR and strong communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant certification required, or equivalent hybrid clinical/front desk experience.
• 5+ years in a medical office, outpatient or mental health setting, with 1+ year managing a medical office.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and empathetic demeanor.
• Proficiency with EHR systems and technology-enabled workflows.
• Ability to balance patient care with site-level administrative oversight.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients at the clinic and manage scheduling, check-in/out, and inquiries.
• Collect and verify insurance and demographic information; maintain documentation in the EHR.
• Assist providers with patient rooming, vitals, and MA tasks as needed.
• Coordinate with virtual assistants and central teams for scheduling, billing, and prior authorizations.
• Onboard and train new front desk/MA staff; monitor supply levels and prepare clinical spaces.
• Escalate facilities, IT, or patient concerns to leadership in a timely manner.
• Serve as site lead for daily operations at the Fremont clinic; track basic metrics.
