Job summary

WellMed, part of the Optum family, is looking for a Clinic Administrator to direct and coordinate clinic staff to provide high-quality patient care in a Texas setting.

You will work under the Clinic Administrator, overseeing nursing staff, staffing and training, payroll coordination, vendor relations, and compliance with OSHA and infection control standards. This role requires strong leadership and a focus on patient care excellence.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of clinic operations or healthcare experience.
• Knowledge of organization policies and procedures and ability to apply them.
• Knowledge of fiscal management and human resources techniques.
• Knowledge of office management techniques and practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Computer literacy.
• Ability to gather, analyze, and evaluate data.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to exercise initiative and solve problems.
• Ability to set priorities and coordinate work.
• Strong customer-service skills.
• Driver's License and reliable transportation.
• Tuberculosis screening and immunity proof requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily activities of the nursing staff in the clinic.
• Determine staffing needs and prepare/rearrange work schedules.
• Assist with hiring, evaluating performance, terminations, and counseling.
• Coordinate staff orientation and training.
• Assist Admin in monitoring expenses and payroll (ADP).
• Maintain staff appearance and treatment areas.
• Ensure OSHA and Infection Control compliance.
• Manage medical supplies, vendors, and stock levels.
• Strengthen relationships with Administrators, Supervisors, Physicians and departments.
• Represent the clinic in the absence of the Administrator.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
