Job summary

MUSC Community Physicians, part of the Medical University of South Carolina, seeks an experienced supervisor to lead patient care operations in ophthalmology. You will manage daily clinical and clerical staff, ensure nursing practice standards, and coordinate between support and clinical services to sustain high-quality care.

Responsibilities include staffing, performance goals, and process improvement to meet organizational targets while maintaining a professional and efficient work environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 3 years within the specific work area or related training.
• Associate’s degree with 1 year of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree with 6 months to 1 year of experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct line management and leadership for all patient care areas.
• Ensures standards are followed for nursing practice and interfaces between support and clinical services.
• Facilitates care delivery system development and operation, including staffing and professional service delivery.
• Manages daily operations of clinical and clerical employees, including staffing schedules.
• Develops and sets goals at the process, job, and interface level to ensure optimal patient care.
