Job summary

MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) is seeking a patient care leader to supervise multiple clinics and ensure nursing practice standards are met. You will interface between clinical and support staff, guide staffing, and drive efficient operations to support MUSC’s rural health network across South Carolina.

Ideal candidates have healthcare leadership experience, strong operations skills, and a commitment to high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: high school diploma with 3 years experience or an Associate's degree with 1 year, or Bachelor’s with 6 months+.
• Experience in a medical capacity preferred.
• Must be able to lead patient care areas and coordinate between clinical and support staff.

Job Description

• Provides direct line management and leadership for all patient care areas. Ensures proper standards are followed for nursing practice and provides interface between the support services and clinical services.
• Facilitates care delivery system development and operation, including but not limited to staffing and professional delivery of services.
• Manages daily operations of clinical and clerical employees, including staffing schedules, while maintaining an efficient and professional work atmosphere.
• Develops and sets goals at the process, job, and interface level to ensure optimal patient care in order to meet overall organizational goals.

Minimum Education and Experience

• A high school diploma and three years experience or training within specific work area; or an Associate's degree with one year of experience; or a Bachelor's degree and six months-one-year experience. Experience in a medical capacity preferred.
