Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina, through MUSC Community Physicians, seeks a leadership professional to provide direct line management for all patient care areas and to ensure nursing practice standards are followed. This role acts as the interface between support services and clinical services to optimize care delivery.

The position emphasizes developing care delivery systems, staffing, and professional delivery of services, while managing daily operations and fostering a professional

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; three years experience or training within the specific work area.
  • Associate’s degree with one year of experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree and six months to one year experience (experience in a medical capacity preferred).

Job Summary

MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) is an entity within the Medical University of South Carolina that provides healthcare to patients within the rural health network throughout the state of South Carolina. This position provides direct line management and leadership for all patient care areas, ensures proper standards are followed for nursing practice, and serves as the interface between support and clinical services.

Minimum Education and Experience
  • High school diploma and three years experience or training within specific work area, OR
  • Associate’s degree with one year of experience, OR

  • Ability to maintain hearing acuity, with correction.
  • Ability to perform gross motor functions with frequent fine motor movements.
  • Ability to deal effectively with stressful situations.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
  • Ability to work in a latex safe environment.
  • Ability to maintain tactile sensory functions.
  • Ability to maintain good olfactory sensory function.
  • Ability to be qualified physically for respirator use, initially and as required.
