Responsibilities

• Interview for nursing history, assess health knowledge and maintenance, and document findings in the medical record.
• Obtain medical information, chief complaints, vital signs and test results for physician examination and document in the medical record.
• Serve as patient advocate by protecting patient rights and addressing complaints regarding service.
• Screen patient problems in person or by phone with resolution to advise or refer to physician.
• Provide education on prevention and health maintenance and document results.
