Responsibilities

• Communication: Communicate effectively, openly, and respectfully with customers and coworkers. Meet hospitality standards, respond promptly to information requests, and follow communication policies.
• Productivity: Prioritize workload, maintain organization, and coordinate with team members to meet departmental timelines and manage workload effectively.
• Technical Competence: Adhere to policies and procedures, demonstrate knowledge of medications and computer systems, and maintain up-to-date knowledge.
• Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement: Support QA, QC, and CQI activities, understand CQI principles, and participate in related efforts.
• Facilities: Maintain a safe and efficient work environment following policies and procedures.
• Coordination of Services: Coordinate workflow, facilitate communication among staff, providers, and patients, and identify potential medication-related issues.
• Prioritization of Work: Organize and manage daily tasks to maximize efficiency, especially during peak times.
• Professional Behavior: Exhibit professional appearance and conduct, maintain confidentiality, and provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; current Pharmacy Technician program graduate.
• Prior pharmacy tech/clerk experience or current student/graduate preferred.
• Current certification as a pharmacy technician (CPHT) and applicable state license (PHARM T) required.
