Primary-Health-Care,-Inc. in Marshalltown, IA, is seeking a Medical Assistant or Medical Assistant Trainee to support clinical care and administrative duties under licensed staff.

The position schedules include 40 hours per week with varying shifts, and a Saturday rotation approximately every 6-8 weeks. The role offers wage range of $18.65-$23.35 per hour with eligibility for a $5 per hour shift differential on some shifts, mileage reimbursement may apply, and a comprehensive benefits package

Qualificações

• Post-secondary diploma, certificate, or Associate degree in Medical Assisting or high school diploma or equivalent plus a minimum of one year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers within 90 days of employment.
• Mandatory Reporter Training for Child Abuse and Dependent Adult Abuse recognized by the State of Iowa.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborates with assigned Patient Care Team to provide healthcare in a clinic setting and supports workflows.
• Prepares for exams and assists providers; rooming and vital signs per workflow.
• Documents care in the electronic health record and handles prior authorizations and referrals.
• Performs point-of-care testing and administers medications and immunizations per orders.
• Provides patient education and manages supply levels in exam rooms.
