Job summary

Talentify in Carson City, NV is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant for our multi-specialty practice. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of medical assisting experience, strong administrative skills, and be proficient with electronic medical records (Intergy).

Responsibilities include answering phones, scheduling, verifying insurance and authorizations, obtaining vitals, and supporting the physician. Must be team-oriented, with HIPAA knowledge; bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical assisting experience of 2 years is expected.
• Proficient in insurance eligibility and authorizations.
• Familiar with electronic medical records (Intergy).
• Strong administrative and organizational skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Knowledge of HIPAA preferred.
• Team player able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones professionally.
• Explain scheduling/referral process to patients.
• Work closely with the physician on their schedule.
• Efficiently manage tasks and assignments to meet deadlines.
• Obtain vitals and enter into EMR.
• Knowledge of Meaningful Use preferred.
