South Port Square in Port Charlotte, FL, is seeking a Clinic Nurse to support the Health & Wellness Director with daily clinical tasks and resident care. This part-time role includes admissions/discharges, rounds with physicians, and coordinating with families on resident changes.

The ideal candidate holds an LPN license in Florida, has at least 2 years of long-term care or memory care setting experience, and demonstrates basic computer skills with clear English communication.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and an active Florida LPN license.
• Minimum Florida nursing license and current licensure.
• Basic computer proficiency and strong English communication skills.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Clinic Nurse is responsible for assisting the Health & Wellness Director(s) with day-to-day clinical tasks including but not limited to follow-up with resident’s providers; ensuring orders are received timely and entered correctly; assisting with components of admissions/readmissions; assist with chart/medication cart audits; monitoring clinic phone line and returning calls in a timely manner.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of the Clinic Nurse:

• Assists in admission and discharge procedures.


• Responds to resident emergency call system as indicated.


• Makes rounds with physicians and transcribes orders.


• In conjunction with Health & Wellness Director, keeps physician and family aware of change in resident’s condition.


• Maintains the self-respect, personal dignity, and physical safety of each resident.


• Assures continuity of services and care.


• Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.


• Performs specific work duties and responsibilities assigned by supervisor.


• Assumes a proactive role in resolving resident issues & concerns related to assigned areas of responsibility.


• Functions under intense time pressure.


• Contributes to a positive, healthy, and safe working environment.


• Works as a member of the team.


• Accepts change in a positive manner.


• Performs any other relevant duties as assigned.


• Administer direct care as necessary.

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. LPN with a current license in Florida.


• At least 2 years’ experience long-term care or assisted living/memory care preferred.


• Basic computer proficiency.


• Ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.


• Basic mathematical Skills required.


• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.

PART TIME: 8:30AM - 4:30PM

Salary: From $28.00 per hour
