Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, mental health counseling, or related field with at least 5 years post‑graduate experience in mental health program management.
• Independent licensure (LICSW/LMHC/LMFT) and eligibility to practice in MA.
• Demonstrated supervisory experience with leadership and team management.
• Strong diagnostic and treatment planning skills.
• Time management, communication, and stress management skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques.
• Knowledge of third-party billing and regulatory requirements.
• Valid MA driver’s license and access to reliable vehicle for local travel.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the Salem clinic and overall behavioral health services.
• Oversee behavioral health contracts with DCF and other funders.
• Hire, supervise, and terminate clinic staff.
• Direct supervision of clinicians and psychiatrists; conduct regular meetings and trainings.
• Provide performance feedback and annual appraisals for staff and interns.
• Coordinate intake operations to ensure timely, professional service.
• Ensure clinical documentation meets regulatory standards.
• Maintain licenses and compliance with DPH, BSAS, and DCF.
• Monitor budgets and collaborate with finance leadership.
• Identify opportunities and market programs to the community.
