Job summary

Big Sandy Health Care, Inc. seeks a Custodian to uphold the overall cleanliness and attractiveness of the clinic. The role involves cleaning and dusting desks, maintaining restrooms, and ensuring supplies and equipment are properly stocked and maintained.

The custodian is responsible for sanitizing exam rooms, lab, and x-ray areas, keeping the clinic grounds neat, and following the organization’s compliance and HIPAA policies. Heavy lifting up to 50 pounds may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in janitorial work preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions, operate cleaning equipment and keep a supply inventory.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and dusts desks, tables, chairs, counters, etc.
• Mops, buffs, or vacuums portions of clinic floors.
• Responsible for cleaning kitchen area.
• Maintains clean restrooms and assures the availability of soap, towels, tissue, etc.
• Assumes stock control for supplies.
• Performs routine maintenance to custodial equipment and supplies.
• Responsible for the appearance of the center grounds.
• Sanitizes all exam rooms, lab, x-ray, etc.
• Simple maintenance as assigned by supervisor.
• Adheres to the terms and conditions set forth in BSHC’s corporate compliance program.
• Ensures confidential information in accordance with BSHC’s policy and current HIPAA regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
