Job summary

Mt. Spokane Pediatrics in Spokane, WA seeks an experienced custodian to maintain a clean and safe environment for staff and patients in a medical setting. This is a part-time role requiring adherence to OSHA standards and clinic policies.

You will perform daily cleaning tasks, assist with deep cleaning, and address immediate needs while ensuring proper disposal of waste and maintenance of equipment. PPE may be required.

Qualifications

• Previous custodial experience preferred.
• Able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks and medical environment
• Available before or after clinic hours
• Willing to use PPE as required.

Responsibilities

• Follow procedures to maintain a safe working environment per OSHA and policies.
• Perform daily cleaning: sweep, mop, vacuum, bathrooms.
• Assist staff with deep cleaning projects.
• Address immediate cleaning needs (e.g., sick child in room).
• Maintain and clean housekeeping equipment.
• Storage and disposal of trash per procedures, transport to designated areas.
• Report maintenance concerns to management.

Job Responsibilities

• Adheres to established procedures to provide a safe working environment including aligning with OSHA, state regulations, and company policies
• Complete daily cleaning responsibilities including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and bathrooms
• Assist staff with deep cleaning projects
• Address any immediate cleaning needs (such as a sick child in a room, etc)
• Accurately maintains and cleans housekeeping equipment
• Follows procedures for storage and disposal of trash and transports it to designated areas
• Reports maintenance concerns to management
