Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform CT exams under the supervision of a radiologist. You will execute radiologic procedures across CT, X-ray, MRI, and ultrasound as part of the imaging team in a Level I trauma center.

Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology and ARRT RT certification are required, with a one-year window to achieve CT registration; Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology.
• Current ARRT RT-Photon registration or equivalent.
• Candidate will have one year from hire date to become CT-registered with ARRT or hold NMTB/NMTCB certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT examinations and related radiological procedures under radiologist supervision.
• Operate imaging equipment and ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Adhere to department standards and maintain accurate documentation of procedures.

Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) with ARRT

Computed Tomography (CT) registration within 1 year

Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) certification (ARRT/NMTCB)

Job Description: To perform computerized axial tomography exams of various anatomical regions of the patient's body. Under the direction of a radiologist, to perform radiological procedures (MRI, CT) at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. To perform a variety of technical procedures.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Currently registered as a Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) (R) with ARRT. Candidate will have one (1) year from hire date to become registered in Computed Tomography (CT) from ARRT. Or certified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) required.
