Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a Radiologic Technologist with CT experience to perform computed tomography procedures under the guidance of a radiologist and CT supervisor. You will apply independent judgment to render prescribed CT studies and support a broad range of CT tasks with initiative and accuracy.

The role requires graduation from an accredited radiology program, ARRT RT (R) registration, and CT registration within 12 months (NMT/NMTCB certification acceptable).<\/p>

Position Overview

Pay range: $29.25 - $47.55 / hour

Job Description

Under the direction of a radiologist and the CT supervisor, to perform CT procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. To perform a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to render prescribed CT procedures.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Currently registered as a Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) (R) with ARRT. Candidate will have one (1) year from hire date to become registered in Computed Tomography (CT) from ARRT. Or certified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) required. If certification is not obtained within one year, an additional period of up to one hundred and eighty (180) days may be allowed.
