Clinic Coordinator
Job Type: Full-Time | Days | Schedule: Monday - Friday 8a-4:30p; No weekends

Highpoint Health Winchester with Ascension Saint Thomas is part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network. As a Clinic Coordinator you will maintain daily operations and general management of the practice, allocating and assigning duties to employees, monitoring activities, and ensuring compliance with legal and ethical requirements. This position requires a licensed individual (LPN, Medical Assistant, Radiology Tech, Imaging Tech, etc.) and functions in that licensed capacity.
How you’ll contribute
- Develop and implement departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the organization’s clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements.
- Direct and evaluate departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
- Plan and monitor staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
- Prepare, monitor, and evaluate departmental budgets, ensuring compliance with allocated funding and coordinating internal/external audits.
- Create and foster an environment that encourages professional growth.
- Integrate evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings, in-service, projects and committees as assigned.
- Adhere to and support policies and procedures of STRHS.
- Work scheduled shifts, including overtime when necessary.
- Maintain a neat and professional appearance in compliance with the existing dress code.

What we’re looking for
Applicants should have a current degree or diploma from an accredited program. Additional requirements include:
- Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
- Required skills: Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision, and functioning effectively in a stressful environment.
- Experience: One-year previous experience preferred.
- Licenses:
- Medical Assistant: Must have and maintain current certification.
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): Must have and maintain current LPN license for the State of Tennessee.
- Radiology Tech: Must have and maintain current certification with ARRT.
- Imaging Tech: Must have and maintain TN limited x-ray operation license or ARRT.
- Education:
- Medical Assistant: High school diploma or equivalent required; graduate of a Medical Assistant program preferred.
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): Must be a graduate of a Practical Nursing Program.
- Radiology Tech: Associate’s degree in Radiology required.
- Imaging Tech: High school diploma or equivalent required.
