Job summary

Children’s Wisconsin is seeking an Ambulatory Care Team Assistant to provide clerical and clinical support for assigned clinics, including scheduling patient appointments, handling calls, and maintaining a smooth patient flow.

You will collaborate with the clinical team to prepare for appointments, document information, and ensure privacy and excellent service while supporting efficient clinic operations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's or Associate degree preferred.
• 1+ years related healthcare experience preferred.
• Proficient data entry with accuracy; excellent customer service.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments and diagnostic testing in the scheduling system.
• Manage incoming calls, in-baskets, and patient communications with confidentiality.
• Assist in maintaining clinic environment and support clinic workflows.
• Coordinate with providers and staff to optimize clinic operations and reduce wait times.
• Communicate scheduling updates and patient information clearly to families.
• Support rooming and follow-up scheduling as needed.
